Privacy Policy
WalkinFunnels (“we,” “us”) operates this website and the WalkinFunnels app. This policy explains what we collect, why, where it goes, and what control you have over it. We tried to write this in plain English. If anything is unclear, email hello@99tries.com.
The two-sentence summary
On this website we collect your email address (and which phone OS you use) when you sign up for early access, plus minimal technical metadata (IP, user agent) for security and abuse prevention. The WalkinFunnels app itself does not capture, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information about the people it counts walking past your storefront.
What this website collects
When you submit the early-access form on walkinfunnels.com we collect:
- Your email address. So we can email you once when we launch, and follow up about your early-access slot.
- Your phone OS choice (iOS or Android). So we know which build to send you first.
- IP address and browser user-agent string. Captured automatically with every web request, retained alongside your signup row for security, abuse prevention, and basic diagnostics.
We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not run third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or session replay tools on this site at the time of writing. If that changes we'll update this page and disclose it.
What the WalkinFunnels app collects at your storefront
The app runs on a phone you own and mount at your storefront. It uses the phone's camera to detect the silhouettes of people walking past, stopping, and looking toward the storefront. Critically:
- No images or video are recorded. Frames are processed on-device in memory and immediately discarded.
- No facial recognition. The detection model recognizes person-shaped silhouettes and gaze direction, not faces or identities.
- No individual is tracked across visits. Anonymous counts only; the same person walking past twice counts as two anonymous events.
- Nothing personally identifiable leaves the phone. Only anonymized aggregate counts (passersby, attention, engagement, conversions) sync to your dashboard.
Why we collect it
We use the data we collect strictly to:
- Notify you when WalkinFunnels launches and your early-access slot is ready.
- Provide and improve the product you signed up for.
- Protect the service against abuse, fraud, and security threats.
- Comply with legal obligations where applicable.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it for ad targeting.
Where it's stored, who has access
Your signup data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway and encrypted in transit. The website itself runs on Vercel. Both companies act as sub-processors and are bound by their own privacy commitments. Access inside WalkinFunnels is limited to the small team building the product.
Retention
We keep your early-access signup until you ask us to delete it, or until the early-access program closes and we delete the entire signup list, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you the data we hold on you.
- Correct it if it's wrong.
- Delete it permanently.
- Stop emailing you.
Email hello@99tries.com from the address you signed up with and we'll action it within a reasonable timeframe (typically a few business days).
If you're in the EU/UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children
WalkinFunnels is a B2B product for trade-show exhibitors. It is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, notify early-access subscribers by email before the change takes effect.
